Membership

Who can become a member?

Licensed banks, securities dealers, auditing companies (that audit banks and securities dealers) active in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, as well as associations and the banks' joint utility providers (Gemeinschaftswerke) can become "Institutional Members" of the Swiss Bankers Association (SBA).

The main services of the Swiss Bankers Association are outlined in the "Portrait" In addition, Institutional Members also enjoy the following privileges:
  • Affiliation to the "Verbands-Ausgleichskasse" (AHV): Ausgleichskasse für das schweizerische Bankgewerbe, Zurich www.ak-banken.ch
  • Affiliation to the "Familienausgleichkasse Banken" www.ak-banken.ch
  • Affiliation to collective contracts for daily sick pay, accident and medical insurance with SWICA
  • Affiliation to the services of the Swiss Banking Ombudsman (obligatory)

Services for Individual Members

Chairmen, Vice-Chairmen, Members of the Executive Board as well as Members of Senior Management  of Institutional Members are entitled to become individual members. Individual Members can exercise voting rights at the SBA's General Assembly. Membership for individuals is requested by the individual's respective Institutional Member. Swiss Bankers' Club
