| The new Basic Commercial Training Course |

Every year approximately 1,300 people working in Swiss banks complete the basic commercial
training course. In recent years the demands made on bank staff have been increasing mainly because
of new communications technology and a linking of work processes. In order to keep pace with the requirements
of this challenging profession, bank staff must possess expert professional knowledge and social competence.
The
new Basic Commercial Training Course is designed to fulfil these goals.
With
this in mind, the SBA has therefore developed model training materials.
